In addition to helping people afford immediate life expenses, it also gave people the security to seek better work opportunities. After Stockton, California implemented its pilot UBI policy, a follow up study found an increase in full-time employment among its recipients. An even more dramatic increase in employment occurred in Hudson, New York following its implementation of UBI.
Support for UBI is mixed, but results on some local testing is promising.

A gentle reminder that DEI was never about hiring and promoting underqualified Black people. It was about preventing underqualified white people from sliding through.
DEI is antidiscrimination law. If you oppose DEI, you want racial discrimination to go unpunished except as applied to white men.
By striking down Trump's tariffs, SCOTUS has finally found some backbone. Kavanaugh's dissent warns the decision will cause a "mess." Too bad he doesn't see that this Court's pro-Trump rulings already made a huge "mess." We must clean house in November so the cleanup can begin.
