Just watched "I Swear"; superb performances by Robert Aramayo, Maxine Peake & Scott Ellis Johnson as a young John Davidson. A wonderful film that hopefully sheds some light on Tourette's & educates people to help those with the condition. The scene in the car in particular a triumph of great acting

I'll level with you Andy, I'd rather set fire to my own knackers that watch that game back. You're a braver man than I to do so.

Id rather lick my own driveway clean than listen to anything Saunders has to say. Sadly his complete embellishment of the Cloughie story illustrates how a lie can get halfway around the world before the truth can get its trousers on - a tactic used in politics these days on both sides of the pond

I get the point Andy but the line-up formation was frankly idiotic. Treating Madrid in their own backyard like The Dog & Duck wasnt smart - effectively playing 4-2-4. Gonzalez should be starting alongside Rodri in such games - Ill go to my grave screaming "start Gonzalez ffs," Im convinced of it.

The line-up/formation was daft & you could clearly see we were way too wide open 20 mins in. Did he change it? Nope. Gonzalez should be playing alongside Rodri in such games, especially away from home. Savinho & Reijnders belong alongside Rico in the early rnds Carabao Cup, not games like last night

Those "Academy Players" they had last night like Courtois, Mendy, Rudiger, Valverde, Tchouanemi, Vinicius jnr, Camavingha. TNT made it sound like we were facing some plucky underdog scoring one for the little guy.

Way too high with those marks - Gigi 5, Khusa 4, Dias 4, Guehi 3, O'Reilly 2, Rodri 4, Bernardo 3, Semenyo 2, Savinho 0.5, Doku 6, Haaland 1. Subs - Reijnders 1, Cherki/Ait-Nouri/Marmoush (not enough time to register a mark). Pep - 1. Treated Real Madrid like we were facing The Dog and Duck. Abject

Going to Madrid's backyard & treating them like we were playing The Dog & Duck, lining up effectively 4-2-4 was indeed a bold move by Josep. Went well I thought. Savinho & Reijnders belong in the early rounds of the Carabao alongside Rico, not nights like last night. Saved us all some money anyway

An article βMore than one million foreign nationals are receiving benefitsβ
(March 17, 2025) referred to the number of βforeign nationalsβ receiving
benefits, and gave the rate of benefit claims for various nationalities. In fact,
the particular DWP data on which the article was based recorded the
nationality of claimants when registering for a National Insurance number,
rather than the nationality at the time they were claiming benefits, so that
some claimants might have since acquired UK citizenship, and would not be
foreign nationals at the time they were claiming benefits. This correction has
been published following an upheld ruling by the Independent Press
Standards Organisation.

Fully *one year later*, the Telegraph has been forced (by @ipso.co.uk) to admit that it was lying about foreign nationals claiming benefits.

Well that went well. Lucky to escape with a 3-0 tbh. Bold decision by Semenyo to make his CL debut playing in slip-on shoes; meanwhile the telly box told me Erling had gone off - I didn't realise he was actually on at any point. An awful team selection, miserable performance & fatal result #mcfc

Pep clearly thinks we are going to somehow make chances this half so has presumably brought Reijnders on to miss them for us. Jesus wept. Gonzalez and Cherki still sat there utterly wasted #mcfc

Terrible job by the manager tonight Im afraid. Lined us up wide open, which was blatantly obvious after 25 mins. Then doesnt do anything to change the formation/personnel so the tie is now out of sight. Gonzalez shouldve started this game alongside Rodri; but then shouldve been put on quickly #mcfc

I know it won't make any difference to his voters, who pay no attention to what's actually going on, and think foresight is for pussies and consequences can be wished away.
But if Farage was PM, we'd now be in a moronic, illegal war he demanded we join 2 days ago, and now thinks is a disaster.

Hes criminally underused by us - weve played our best football this season when Gonzalez has been in the team. There are games to play him alongside Rodri - Weds night a prime example - & others he should be starting in too. With a packed schedule upcoming his value to us will only grow.

Now hear me out, but Iβm just beginning to think it may have been an error to appoint a deranged, narcissistic, psychopathic, criminal, sex offender, reality TV star on the run from justice with dementia to the highest political office in the world. Twice.

Ace away day that. Our end was fantastic backing the lads to the hilt. 2 low yet top contributers were Ake and Gonzalez who were both excellent.

Think Doku may start on the left and sadly Savinho on the right sitting Cherki and Semenyo. It's Pep though so we are shooting in the dark.

"Wasn't it great watching Tony Vaughan & Gareth Taylor trot about!" No it wasn't. Been going to games since 77; the period 95-99 was the most inept, insipid load of garbage Ive seen. Pining for it as some still seem to do is quite odd. Can only assume a large % of them never actually went through it

Most were in those days. Unlike many Blues I don't pine in any way for that season in the third tier. It was shit. We were shit, the standard of football was shit & the grounds we played at were shit. Wycombe A on a Tues evening was another "highlight" for me.

Great job by Captain Brook today - drops the Indian opener who takes the game away from England. Also gives Archer a fateful 4th over when hes been smashed to all parts, and three of the first four balls of that over get hammered into orbit. Mind bendingly stupid.
