It is really infuriating to see how misogyny really does unite men across the sociopolitical spectrum. And, in so far as the Epstein files go, they sort women into two categories: fuckable or irrelevant. When they near a hint of accountability they complain about not being able to make women prey.
ICE is running a “conveyor belt” of illegally detained Minnesota families.
Agents are arresting entire families with legal status and immediately shipping them off to Texas to deny them legal representation and avoid the federal courts in Minnesota.
The cruelty is endless.

BIG news from @bloomberg.com, which confirms that ICE has gone ahead and *purchased* multiple commercial warehouses with the aim of converting them into mass detention camps.
This is likely to be the big detention story of 2026 — literal warehousing of people.

On NPR on Friday, there was a story of a 4-year-old--an American citizen--who hasn't left her house since early December, not even to play in the yard. And her 8-year-old brother recently stopped going to school, too. Their father is undocumented, and the family doesn't want to risk him being taken.
"Strangest of all is the liberal pipe dream that local police will stand up against ICE and CBP, when police have collaborated with ICE and been deployed to protect agents from protesters, even in so-called sanctuary cities."

“If only people had voted for Kamala” is not the lesson here. What this moment shows is the desperate need to insist on different politics. Not a lesser evil but people who will abolish ICE, who won’t fund genocide, who believe in sanctity of human life. Anything short of that assures more death.

We're at the scene of a protest in downtown Minneapolis outside the Canopy by Hilton hotel, where ICE agents are believed to be staying. Photographer Alex Kormann estimates at least 1,000 people are in attendance.
Not an exaggeration at all to say that the feeling in Minneapolis is that the entire metro area is being treated as occupied territory by federal agents. Impossible to overstate how overwhelmingly people here do not like it. This does not feel sustainable.
We are going to have to investigate and prosecute a lot of people. And candidates need to start talking about that.
Put people on warning for one thing.
It is clearer every single day. We have only each other to count on. Please show up, as much as you can. Remember: We are in the majority—a fact the State always tries to hide. Together we can win. Consider making every big or small gesture you can. This is it, people.
ICE killed a member of our community today. ICE showed up at my kid’s daycare today. ICE is bragging about the number of families they’ve torn apart in a matter of days, and promising that their campaign of terror isn’t done.

"They killed my wife. I don't know what to do," the woman says through sobs in the footage, with a damaged SUV visible in the distance behind her. "We stopped to videotape, and they shot her in the head," the woman cries. "We have a six-year-old at school," she says, almost unable to breathe, as a chaotic scene in which federal officers prevented at least one doctor who was on the scene from assisting the shot victim unfolds. "We're new here," the distraught woman says in despair.
You and your wife drop your 6-year-old off at school. You just moved here. You see ICE terrorizing your new neighbors. You film them, as is your legal right. Your wife complies with orders. She is then shot in the head. You still have to pick up your child later today.
This could be you.
Every journalist should be investigating, reporting on the murder in Minneapolis, and the cover-up. Please.

Renee Nicole Good, 37, was murdered four fifths of a mile from where George Perry Floyd, Jr., 46, was murdered in May of 2020.
A friend in Minneapolis just sent me this video. Looks like thousands have come together for a vigil after an ICE agent shot and killed 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good. This was my neighborhood for several years before coming to Portland.
