Just watched Sound of Metal starring Riz Ahmed. Heartbreaking and incredible.
It follows a drummer losing his hearing and struggling to accept it. As a drummer myself, that hit hard. The film brilliantly immerses you in the deaf perspective in a way that feels raw and intimate.
Highly recommended.

Finn Wolfhard also felt underused, which was disappointing.
One thing I like is the deeper look at the containment unit; always been fascinated by that since GB1. Hoping the next one leans harder into the supernatural than campiness.
Rewatched Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire on Prime Video. As a fan since the late ’80s, the comedy/spooky balance felt uneven to me.
I like comic relief, but it felt overplayed here. Paul Rudd and Kumail Nanjiani are great actors but their dialogue was cringe.

Replayed The Evil Within recently. While I still respect what it was going for, it hasn’t aged as well for me. Some gameplay feels stiff and a few moments are more frustrating than fun.
I’ve got huge respect for Shinji Mikami, so this feels more like a product of its time.

Cons:
• Enemy variety leans too heavily on Imps; I would’ve liked more Pinkys, Hellknights, Revenants, etc.
• Not a big fan of this Cacodemon design.
• Boss fights, including the Cyberdemon, feel a bit too easy.

• id Tech 4 still holds up really well; still wish John Carmack had released it as a commercial level design kit, much Unreal Engine.
• The corridor-focused combat works great for the horror tone.
