Have thoroughly enjoyed One County, One Book celebrations in Cork this week, and am very grateful to Cork CoCo for their work in getting the initiative off the ground. Librarians liased with schools around the county and organised events for hundreds of students this month. Mo cheol sibh 🥰

Have had a wonderful few weeks meeting readers and talking all things books and writing. It's a huge privilege to be this year's chosen author 💛

The theory was that Irish children are more inhibited than their N.American peers for cultural and genetic reasons. They videod our reactions to various interactions with our parents and assessed. This particular sample of babas proved the hypothesis wrong 🙃

Learned today that my 4-month old self was an honorary graduate of Trinity and Harvard back in the 90s, having taken part in a bizarre cross-cultural study about behavioural differences between Dublin and Boston babas.

Adding it to my academic CV tbh. 10/10 niche credential
