I Think you could probably make a play for one of those Pocket386 dealies that just runs Win9X or an old Atom-based Netbook. That last one gets tricky (Ha HA! Compatibility issues. -.- ) but it's not completely out of the question.

3d: A few days ago I got some BossFight Sunday Comics minis. I wanted a Mother Goose to go with Grimmie so I modelled/printed/painted one. A little rough with layer lines up close but I'm very happy with the result on the shelf. Kudos to @mikepeters.bsky.social on his terrific comic.

Did this on my phone. Probably the only reason I got as good as I did was thanks to being in a dark room w/ my eyes adjusted. Also being one of "Those" Artist-types that's kinda' sensitive to blues didn't hurt either.

Even when the transition is handled well & w/ all the care of a creator, a page is not a strip is not a flip book is not an infinite scrolling post.

In my defense, it's a Really nice photo of the moon so it's not immediately noticeable that it's not only the wrong month but the wrong year.

Love that I can say I finished the pencils for the next Biff strip & look over at last year's calendar that I still haven't switched out yet.
