Epic scale (and 15mm) is great but there is something about the spectacle of 28mm.....
Table set up in the garage/game room for a black powder battle tomorrow night. Peninsular war Brit/Portuguese Vs the french.
We actually have some sun out today so I'm taking the opportunity to make some more "hills" for a vimiero black powder game tomorrow night.
What have you started getting into? WH40k and Fantasy don't have the enjoyment factor they once did for me. I recently got a box of mantics firefight which had a good rulesystem.
Planning out a small force for black powder Peninsular war. Anyone know of any decent stl files for British officers?
The last year or so my gaming has definitely focussed on more historical periods than fantasy or sci fi.
Finished a few Portuguese cazadores to supplement my line infantry.
Tonight it's something a bit more "epic".....
Pretty happy how this came out.
Started a journey into the world of 28mm napoleonic wargaming... Lots more to build, paint, read and research.
Down in Cornwall this weekend on a quick trip away. Love this part of the world
Anxiety has been powerful this weekend so I have sought peace in the hobby.
League game of old world tonight. Unfortunately this fine fellow didnt make the roster.
This might get me excommunicated..... Remove vehicles from the game ....dreads and suits etc are ok but tanks are more suited to epic scale.
Running D&D tonight, last section of lost mines. Wave echo cave. Any tips from other DMs?
As a nearly 50yr old I find myself able to buy the things I always wanted as a kid but not have the time or energy to get the most out of them.....sigh.
Clash of steel or flames of war/team yankee
Making progress on the ogres....
As a DM in my games (whatever system) I'm constantly bending and breaking rules to keep the story going. fudging rolls, hand-waving NPC abilities or straight up changing things halfway through I'm definitely more of a feeform, "make an epic story with my mates" DM than adversarial or even neutral.
Anyone else playing Warhammer the old world? Coming from 7th edition WHFB I'm enjoying it.
Love the tabletop hobby but building models is always. My least favourite part.
Played a game of gf9 clash of steel last weekend to introduce some non gamers. They looved it and want more more more!!!
Getting more into WTOW from playing 7th edition. Rumours of some sort of "generals handbook" at Xmas have me interested. Maybe some changes now competitions all over the world have thrown up a couple of "meta" type lists, double dragon, poison arrow blocks, 360 skirmish etc. ๐
Me too, I think it also allows people to let their imagination run wild with how they interpret their force. I'm contemplating printing for halflings for my ogre army to proxy as gnoblars.
Is 3d printing for Warhammer the old world good or bad for the game?
Finishing up my ogre army for Warhammer the old world. Tournament coming up in a few weeks. ๐
