It’s time to stop ignoring the hypocrisy in wearing a big gold cross while announcing the defunding of children’s cancer research… Autistic kids and adults who are loving contributors to our society don’t deserve to be stigmatized by a weird nepo baby who once stashed a dead bear in his car. Our military service members don’t deserve to be told by a washed-up Fox TV commentator, who drank too much before being appointed Secretary of Defense, that they can’t serve their country simply because they are Black, gay, or a woman.

It depends! I can burn through a book within a few hours. It took me two days to re-read each of the hunger games book in the initial trilogy. Two to four days is typical if I like the book. For my book club reads, I try to pace myself over the course of a month.

It didn't seem super hard to me but I know that going from one to the other is difficult. I go to a fiber arts club every Saturday and supposedly someone might be coming to teach us all how to knit because it's mostly crocheters. I'm excited and hopeful I'll pick it up quickly.

Once I get something started with crochet, i can pretty much just glance down at it every now and again. I've never done knitting, though, so I'd be lost lol

Another dystopian future, Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale, brought to life by Renée Nault in a beautifully illustrated graphic novel edition. Environmental disasters and declining birth rate have led to a Second Civil War, and this book tells the story of one handmaid, Offred.

Fahrenheit 451 by Radbury, 60th Anniversary Edition. Took sits on a table with a lemon printed cloth and the cover is red with a black "book" of matches.

Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. This classic novel is set in a dystopian future where firemen are made to destroy books "and the houses in which they are hidden."

For me, The Color Purple is still a beautiful story about spirituality, black empowerment, & sisterhood. Knowing what I know now about Alice Walker doesn't change this particular story; however, I won't be reading or supporting any of her other works. Let me know how you feel in the comments. 💙📚
