Final postcards of the day with Evelyn Venable & Robert Young. They appeared together in the 1935 comedy 'Vagabond Lady'.
Venable is best known for being the voice & model of the Blue Fairy in Pinocchio. So there you go, someone you didn't know, you've probably known for most of your life! #filmsky

Back to vintage postcards with Cary Grant and Constance Bennett. These two got together in 1937's Topper playing ghosts George and Marian Kirby, the bane of banker Topper played by Roland Young. Bennett appeared in the sequel Topper takes a Trip with Grant used in flashbacks. #filmsky

Popped into Rothesay town & walked past one of the local charity shop. They had this lot outside in their 'free' boxes. I felt I had to rescue them as it could rain any minute. Final postcards of the Day with Basil Rathbone and Molly Lamont. Both were South African born with Rathbone being rasied in England. They both worked in Hollywood but never appeared together. Lamont was best known for The Awful Truth with Cary Grant & Irene Dunne.

Back to vintage postcards with Ginger Rogers and Ray Milland. They were in 3 films together; The Major & the Minor (1942), Lady in the Dark (1944) and then Quick, Let's Get Married, made in 1964 but apparently so bad it wasn't released until 1971 aka Seven Different Ways & The Confession. #FilmSky
