I remember saying online that if I was in charge of a public space and someone came in with some sort of recording glasses type device, I'd kick them out to protect everyone's privacy.
Some American twat said: "but you would be giving bad customer service"
oh well.
Went to get some Vallejo primer spray down the local nerd store.
They didn't have it, and the other place likely to have it is far away.
So fuckit, I bought Chaos Black spray.
How bad could it be.
It went on quite wet and seemed promising, but then it died.
Holy shit. This stuff sucks.
Our Granddad is 100 and fought in D-day and he thinks Farage is the right man to sort Britain out. He says he reminds him of one of the commanders he fought alongside with distinction. In the next few weeks he's going to auction off his medals and donate all the money to Reform. Anyone know how much an Iron Cross is worth?
Absolute perfection. #Reform
You know whatβs actually neat: being kind
This very much depends on what you define a scandal as.
Edward VIII is probably relieved that the abdication is now minor leagues, but, there's the various Henry's who weren't scandal free.
You would be kicked out of any writerβs room in existence if you had the villains celebrating a Great Gatsby-themed party while taking away food benefits from millions of poor people.

I have a story in Storyteller, the Tanith Lee tribute anthology, which is up for preorder now. Look at all the great authors included: www.barnesandnoble.com/w/storytelle...
This is a picture of a gaming model, representing a barbarian druid, carrying a large owl. He is dressed in rags and furs, carrying a staff and adorned with skulls and charms

Painter info unknown, sorry! I've lost it.

In terms of Wood Elves, the closest I've got are a couple by Steve Buddle (now a GW sculptor) and one old surly Elf Ranger by me!

This is my periodic encouragement that folks on that list to put their metadata about #TTRPG Actual Play into seriesseeker.com which allows audiences to search by system, length, and loads of other features.
(Itβs also useful as a reflective exercise!)
Ah thank you so much!
Don't say it out loud. Just enjoy that it's there. #jhbackdrops.

Is this the Gale Force 9 model?
Now all I can see is The Boss, wandering around St Hellier complaining that Jersey or not, it doesn't have the same vibe.
Definitely worth using this technique again
The result was a really warm and smooth looking skin tone.
This pair of figures was an experiment. I was using slap chop a lot but I've run out of black spray primer.
So I used Vallejo grey primer and then washed repeatedly with Army Painter strong wash. Then used several layers of Army Painter on the skin. I put a final layer of GW contrast flesh over it
The high level of detail can have amazing results... Or you keep finding some angle you hadn't noticed before.
Basically a thing I've been struggling with: high detail plastics or resin miniatures can have beautiful outcomes but there are so many challenges. Even after heavy preparation, you still get mould release messing with the paint, even though layers of primer and base coat.
A photo of a miniature model. The model is of a woman clad in rough robes and raven feathers. She has dark blonde hair and blue woad tattoos
Work in progress. Basically done bar the base and sealing.
Was going to put it on Etsy but maybe it should be a gift instead.

Love a customer email asking for a possible bulk discount (doable!) just before seeing that same customer asking in a Facebook group for someone prepared to sell recasts of my work AND THEN someone offering to do just that for them.
Cthulhu Wars really is the poisoned chalice that keeps on giving.
Hi y'all! π
Just opened some slots for this style of illustration commissions.
Please, go check them out on my ko-fi page, and help me share if you can!

these things are even more brittle than failcast, sadly.
All forms of printing and resin casting allows the creation of really complex and truly 3d models. It's just that the result is kind of fragile and annoying to paint sometimes.
See, I am trying to transform and whittle down my collection to minis that are a: aesthetically pleasing and b: metal.
So I went with Ral Partha Legacy and the new Tom.Meier elves for Rivendell
