i don’t buy that claude is conscious. but i’m also skeptical about a lot of human beings.

I wish more media would cover the Minnesota Occupation for the failure that it was. Not only did it cause enormous damage, but they couldn't even put together a top 10 dangerous dudes list. They got like 1 deportation per agent over a 3 month period. Colossal failure from a bunch of mall cop losers
When decision-makers bear no consequences, bad decisions follow. Thomas Sowell's insight captures why Cato champions accountability, limited government, and the power of free markets—where every choice carries real stakes.
Remember, these guys fired all the people who actually know what they're doing because "DEI" and then hired the absolute dumbest people imaginable because of "meritocracy" and... then they do stuff like leaving comments enabled in their "this is how we concentration camp" PDF.
Only the people who survived the pandemic are able to write shitty books about it. Those who died took their lessons with them.
Hmm. The US is giving $10 billion in taxpayer dollars, not appropriated by Congress, to a fake board set up by the President and which he put himself in charge of *for life*... seems very, very illegal.
So SCOTUS, with its fabricated-out-of-thin-air immunity doctrine, has actually made American presidents less accountable than LITERAL royalty.
And here we have a feature story on the Bois Forte Band of Chippewa getting started on construction of a $20 million Tribally-owned network

Screenshot of a CNN segment shared by Acyn. A split-screen shows commentator Lydia Moynihan on the left and Kevin O’Leary on the right during a heated exchange. The chyron reads, “Obama: Dems need to avoid scolding and ‘virtue-signaling.’” The post quotes O’Leary referencing China and concentration camps, and McGowan responding about West Virginia.
I spent my childhood inside of American concentration camps. I know one when I see one. And that is what ICE is building.

Leading American companies — including Palantir, Deloitte, and private prison giant GEO Group — raked in over $22B from ICE and CBP contracts last year.
Do not forget who is profiting from cruelty and human suffering.

Why are so many undocumented immigrants being held in detention for so long instead of being deported?
Simple. The billionaires who own the detention centers get paid for keeping people here. They don't get paid for people who get deported.
It's not about the law, it's about taking your money.
I know everyone here knows it but just to repeat for everyone *else*...
Nothing has changed on the ground. It's still as awful as before. Don't believe this man.
And we won't stop protecting our neighbors.
By the way, for those of you not in MN: Homan’s strategy was to withdraw some agents, so it felt like we were in the denouement of the crisis, and then escalate hard against observers. They’re being incredibly aggressive with observers now. National media may not want to check out just yet
Winter people are the best people.
Oh man, did you see that crazy raid yesterday on the meatpacking plant where they arrested the company owner for employing mostly people without papers?!? No? I didn't either. <ai image>
Agree. That is the model/make/color that I most associate with them.
Largely true... and gas stations burned after small organized attacks to take lottery tickets and attempts to grab ATMs. All lumped in as protests in the mass media.
But I too heard from college friends that this was part of the uprising and I called them on their bullshit.
The day I learned what "I'll be your huckle bearer" meant was one of the biggest light bulbs I've had. And it was pretty recent...
Yeah so... ummm... I don't always keep up with culture... I was like "oh I should listen to Lorde" and put on Royals. Now I know where Weird Al got the Foil song from. I'm so lost in this world.
Seriously though - these groups really need the support!!
Not everything is shit.
Congress passes the Give Kids a Chance Act. This is important.

So glad to have empirical evidence to back up what I've been saying for years based on "well, duh"
Has anyone asked Garland why they did nothing on this? I mean aside from that being his general position on everything?
There has to be an investigation into the many individuals who committed heinous crimes alongside Epstein.
There should be a special prosecutor, or a congressional investigation, that looks into the crimes and the ongoing cover-up. It has to happen.
Dereliction of Duty: New York Times, Washington Post and Wall Street Journal editors continue to trivialize assaults on the First Amendment. Is their motto: “First Amendment rights for me - but not for thee”?

I think all these men who benefited financially from proximity to Epstein POST CONVICTION OF PEDOPHILIA should have to pay reparations to his victims, whether they abused women and children or not.
They all knew what was going on, and help legitimize him with their association.

I want to let you know about something that happened at Pizza Luce and encourage you to thank and patronize them. One of the drivers at Parkway Pizza who is a friend of mine told me tonight about something that happened at the downtown Mpls Pizza Lucé where his wife works. A kitchen manager has been giving rides to workers afraid to take public transportation to work. Last week, two ICE SUVs pulled her over. There was a young Latina women in the car and ICE grabbed her. She is here legally, but apparently, if you are not white, you need to carry a passport or other documents with you. Despite the fact that she is here legally, ICE flew her to their detention facility outside of El Paso, TX. Fortunately, the owner of the Pizza Lucé chain paid for a lawyer to expedite her release. Unfortunately, when ICE is forced to release people they have unlawfully detained and flown to Texas, they do not fly them back. They just dump them on the streets of El Paso. But again, fortunately, the owner of Pizza Lucé paid for a plane ticket to fly her home. So please thank the folks at Pizza Lucé if you have the chance. Dozens of Minnesotans have not been so lucky as this woman and are trying to find their way back from Texas. Today's NY Times has a story about "Selamawit Mehari, an Eritrean single mother of three.... federal agents showed up at her apartment in St. Paul...(even though) her older daughter produced paperwork proving her mother was in the United States lawfully, the agents shackled Ms. Mehari and took her away." The story cites many like her who "were eventually released in Texas, leaving them to find their own way home."
From FB regarding Pizza Luce in Minnesota.
I like it when I can do something to help people displaced by ICE and then after I do that thing I get to eat a pizza.
