My jaw has dropped. Back in 2012, I built the ADSB feature that they were almost certainly using.

47, dad of two. Diagnosed in March with same thing. 2nd steroid shot last week seems to finally have be back to 90% or so with that hand.
I use this tool. It heats the bite and denatures the proteins that cause the itching and inflammation. Very effective and quick. Does burn slightly just before it finishes, but worth that very short, momentary bit of pain in my opinion.

Indeed⦠Video games are much cheaper now despite being several times more expensive to produce for AAA titles. That $60 NES game in 1988 would be $150 now.
This is true! Happening with my kids (10 & 11) too.
My personal theory is he does not believe in positive sum games. So if we have a trade deficit with another country then we are losing by not taking other countries money by selling our goods to them.
π from the Swift team, now on Bluesky!
I mean someone like Jonny Manziel comes immediately to my mind (I went to A&M). Amazing college QB, terrible pro. College is a different game. Looking at who went pro is not a great metric. Probably better to look at recruit rankings out of high school.
This sounds similar to the app I use for lifting called Liftosaur. They have a DSL for describing weight lifting programs so you can dial things into suit yourself.

Getting my 9 year old son to clean things is a lot like debugging software. He fixes the problem in one spot only to move it to another.
For instance he swept up the mess he made eating from around his chair but now it is around the trash can instead of in it π
My 9 son currently has a turtle night light thing, a white noise giraffe, 2 books, and a toy in his bed. He is good about sleeping with and not playing with toys in bed.
My 11 year old daughter currently has 5 novels, a pair of head phones and a box of art supplies on her bed.
Why? I donβt know. π
Just spent a few minutes at LAX with ForeFlight Voyager on the Vision Pro.
It's really cool to see and hear the traffic live, especially with the Infinite Flight models.
Also, shout-out to the tower controller for the cool "Air France 23 Kilo, contact Socal Departure, Γ bientΓ΄t !"
βThe Story of Your Lifeβ by Ted Chiang digs into this as part of the plot.
If by free, you mean we all pay taxes to our local school district to fund schools, then yes, free.
I bought a super cheap mini pc a year ago and have been plagued by lag on the terminal from day one. Finally figured out Ubuntu WiFi power saving settings was the source of the issue⦠despite only sshing into the Ethernet port IP address! Disabled power saving and all is fine now.
I can look at some rote problem Iβve solved before and ask Claude or whatever to write the solution. Having done this stuff myself many times before, I can quickly review it and move on to the harder problems.
Iβm 46β¦ definitely felt this. But, Iβve found myself far more productive this past year than the previous 4. Shipped a new app on a new platform and find myself committing far more code than the last couple years. Some is due to reducing meetings, but a lot of it is just leaning on AI coding tools.
As some one occasionally impacted by US gov (FAA) regs, I see the appeal many have for this. However, the way Musk goes about things seems bad to me.
That said, this post by an Obama era appointee that had a similar mandate, has me thinking maybe it will be ok?

This works, but is kind of ugly...granted, so was the UIKit version.
The SwiftUI I tried was just `Image("jpegxl-test", bundle: .module)`
I am attempting to get a JPEG XL to render with SwiftUI, but so far have not been able to achieve it. However, I can get it to render with UIImage. This image is in an XCAsset bundle in a Swift Package. Anyone know how to get it on screen with SwiftUI?
Here is the working UIImageView version:
Does anyone have a good travel organizer for your families charging cables and what not that you want to recommend? I am all ears.
A lot of indie apps are having a blast on Bluesky, and we'd love more of our friends and fans to join the party. So we came up with a fun idea: a giveaway! #IndieSky

Stainless steel or cast iron pan. Metal tongs, wooden spoons, silicon spatulas and a metal, slotted fish spatula⦠but I use it for non fish things too (eggs, quesadillas)
Yesterday, I ripped apart a small, newish app I am working on to try out the same general thing you are doing with IcySky (Iβve been following the repo). It is so nice. No debate from me.
Doh, I see I went off in the wrong direction. Iβve not done that sort of projection mapping. Apologies for the misdirection.
Yes, what are you trying to achieve? Proj covers most projection use cases for coordinate transforms between projections.

Muting the word βblueskyβ for 7 days earlier today was the best thing. A lot more interesting things and less noise.
I created around 100 custom SFSymbols from some source SVG files recently. The only app that I found that worked for batch processing the SVGs to SFSymbol templates was this:

It was a little wonky, but super easy to use once I figured it out.
