I like the guy, and I don't agree with your assessment that he's either "unwell" or "autistic". But the half-hour rants today felt a little OTT.

Are the @lbc.co.uk phone lines down today?
James O'Brien is going on half-hour rants.
But I thought he was going to end the war on day one?!
Threads definitely feels more like X from a few years ago, and being a Meta property means engagement is valued above all else.
Welcome to Bluesky. I have zero to do with the scheduling of my articles on PCWorld, I'm afraid ๐
Threads could go either way at this point. I enjoy the conversations, but the engagement farming is becoming a big issue.
Of course you can. They are, after all, just opinions.
Time and time again, the "majority" are proven to be wrong, regressive, and/or downright thick.
@shelaghfogarty.bsky.social Claiming that this judgement doesn't erode transpeople's rights is nonsense.
As the caller said, they're now likely to get thrown out of changing rooms and toilets. So, where are they meant to go?
At the expense of trans women, yes.
The Supreme Court claiming otherwise is bullshit.
Trans people clearly will be disadvantaged by this.
@mrjamesob.bsky.social No, I'm not changing my views on democracy based on what one writer said to you.

Liverpool's era was the late 70s and early 80s. United's was the 90s and 2000s. City's has been since.
Arsenal and Chelsea have had inconsistent spells due to the dominance of the above three teams.
It's more that your assertion that Liverpool and Arsenal have always been great is BS.
The big teams rise and fall. The last few years have belonged to City, and that will fade.
Ha! In a world of bad takes, this is a doozy.

I've been in shorts and a T-shirt for two weeks already.
I'm finding Threads much more active than Bluesky these days.
Anyone else having a similar experience?

@mrjamesob.bsky.social I'm pretty sure the lack of attention on the female victim in Adolescence was intentional, mirroring what happens in the media.
Except that when you're building a fascist dictatorship, any notion of process flies out of the window.
Quite honestly, I think they're screwed either way.
If they even attempt to get closer to the EU, Reform and the Tories will rouse the Brexit mob.
And what Labour is currently doing to the sick and disabled is going to lose them a lot of trad voters.
I'm sure they're well aware, but 8 months into this parliament, it would be suicide to raise the issue of Brexit.
Is this legit? It looks like it's from a dystopian film.
It's a parody.
I'm suddenly getting a lot more engagement on Threads, and very little on Bluesky. ๐ค
@mrjamesob.bsky.social I'm a dissenting voice for abolishing NHS England.
Why? Because it makes the NHS more of a political football. If anything, we should be moving the NHS out of politics. It needs a 20-year plan that cannot be sidelined by an election result.
Well, they should have. Obviously.
I get that this is one rule for one, and one rule for another.
Not the ones sitting on the forecourt.
Protesting, no, but setting fire to the cars, yes.
