The pitch that Carl and I made was ultimately undo-able because we would have had to get Universal, Graz and Harmony Gold to coordinate both the business and production of it, and Playmates didn't want to alienate Uni with the idea.
Been busy with real world life stuff and haven't paid much attention to Blue Sky lately. Here's a recent new piece of mine done on an Exciting Comics blank cover. It features Tigra, the first pro comic character I ever drew for Marvel.
Eric Lewald, Micheal Edens & Jeff Segal had some discussion concerning a third season, after I left Universal. Anything I said about that would be hearsay on my part. However, Carl Macek and I pitched a concept to Playmates which would have linked Exo to Robotech as they had done with their toyline.
In the end there is little moral high ground, but heroes occupy it by a narrow margin. Part of Exo's secret is that it was a syndicated series, not subject to network Standards and Practices review. The overall complexity was there from the start, thanks to Jeff Segal's ambitious planning.
