This is generally why this sort of thing is kept out of combat spaces, its so hard to get physics feeling good. Mad respect for a very impressive implementation of this sort of thing. Unfortunately for me at least, impressive doesn't mean good.

Is there realy a fix for that though? Not unless you want to redesign the transitions to blend between the 2 frames of reverence and redesign almost all of the layer to remove all the right angles probably not.

I think the biggest problem I have with them is that movement is otherwise really schmoove in ultrakill and going through a portal to get flipped feels really really rough on comparison.

The arenas that flipped between 2 themes with a moving portal were rad but that's kinda my point, the best arenas were the ones that didn't make structural use of portals.

You know what, not a fan of fraud. I think every one of the fights with portals would have played better without them. Like there weren't any fights that made me feel like the portals were doing any heavy lifting.

Not a fan of the final bridge fight in 8-1 so far. Can't tell why apart from sound issues. It kinda feels like 3 encounter spaces that are near eachother as opposed to a single space. Gotta chew on 8-1 more.

I suspect there may be some performance issues being caused by sound propagation across portals. Portals are fucky and audio code is fucky so my complete guess is there's something going on there.

I feel like audio recurrsion is making the new ultrakill feel like ass. Hearing the same enemy from 4 different locations is super disorienting, especially at like 20fps.

I do kinda want to make a ventrilokar but I don't have any idea how to make a flag guy cool, especially with the more pragmatic theme I'm going for where a big banner wouldn't match the vibe. I'd also love a melta gunner but can't think of a fun kitbash that justifies it. Ideas welcome for either.

And I guess grandpa on a stupid big base while I'm at it. I was thinking about using the jump pask on this guy because it's huge on him and very funny but instead I'm going to hunt down something more era appropriate for him.

And the last model finished was the plasma gunner. Nothing too crazy here except I've modified a space wolves plasma because all the other plasmas I saw for sale with a butt stock were sold out. The jump pack was for something else but I decided it looked cool here instead.

Fearmonger proxy. I wasn't initially going to make model for the FM but the apothecary idea called to me. Pistol here is from necromunda with a hand very carefully repurposed from one of the mkii bolters. Actually pinned the hand to the bolter cause there's so little contact there.

Another warrior. The plan was to try reposing the legs but I cut in the wrong place and lost part of the knee. All in all probably my favorite warrior and I may go back and smooth out the chest of a few of the other operatives and run some cables across them.

Skinthief proxy. 2-handed chain weapons are cool. This was a really inefficient way to make a custom backpack that I don't recommend but it worked out well enough as a one-off. Very tempted to repose this guys feet so I can pose him like he is walking up stairs.

Another warrior, this guy with the pistol/sword loadout. Figured I'd need one. Uses a squat bolt pistol cause I like how chunky it looks and I started dipping into the assault kits for additional poses.

Screecher. Dual lightning claws was honestly cool enough I didn't go crazy with this one. Just a head swap, a slight repose of the arms, and mkii pads to round things out.

Another heavy gunner. Saw the kneeling mkiv in the weapons crew kit and knew what had to be done. Tempted to paint this guy as the chapter master because I think senior comnand in fhe MM would be big gun enjoyers

Another warrior, I realized I could make a scout tracker but then realized I only had 32mm bases so regular warrior he is. Really simple and mostly am excuse to use more of the hero parts I otherwise didn't have a plan for.

Warrior. Simple enough. I tried sanding the trim off of a mkii pad and it looked a little off so I strapped some pouches up there. He used to have a flag on his pack but it broke off and I haven't decided if I'll replace it or not. I might try popping off the smooth pad to reposition it idk.

Visionary with bolt pistol and powerfist. The fist is taken from a saturnine termie. Only guy in the team with a chain bayonet and yeah that's a normal bolter but it's a pistol when he holds it in the powerfist.

Gunner w/ flamer. Another bayonet because of the chesty puller quote. Had to remake the hose which was fiddly but otherwise a simple enough kitbash.

Heavy gunner, first model I built to test my theory that the hero chests could be grafted onto heresy bodies. Someone thought I was making a killteam so suddenly I was making one, before that I just thought a heavy bolter bayonet was funny.

Since I think I've finished building the killteam I guess here's a thread for everyone. Plan is to paint them as Marines Malevolent and proxy them as a Nemesis Claw team.
