Cockatoo flew off, so I am hoping it was OK.
Just put the karcher away after washing the new car. Had an encounter with a cockatoo late yesterday, scared by a dog from the nature strip and flew straight into the front of the car. Things to be cautious of in an EV.

In the late 90s, would regularly have lunch at the Terrace Deli in Little Collins St, Tina Arena would have lunch with various people. Got to find out all sorts of issues going on in her life at that stage, whether we wanted to or not.
At 3 of the last 4 federal and state elections I have been distributing how to vote cards for my local independent, as I knew her and supported her positions. Not a great chance of winning, but needed to show people there was an option, other than the career politician.
Since then she has come down and spent 1-2 weeks in Jan or Dec with us, unfortunately the kids are now 18 & 20 and have other things they want to be doing at the same time.
My MIL had never really spent time with our kids, despite my wife always asking her to come and stay and spend time with us and the kids, until her partner ended up in hospital in Melbourne 3 years ago, and she stayed with us for 3 week.

Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old U.S. citizen and Minneapolis resident, was murdered by ICE today. He was a lawful gun owner. Our government saw his Second Amendment right as a threat and executed him in the streets.
Waking up to this news in Australia, just makes me sad.
At no point does it appear that Alex Pretti is a threat to the Domestic Terroists that Trump’s administration has authorised to execute anyone they want.
