They often don't restore them at all. They pick out all the good pieces and sell them on eBay for a profit. Not that I have anything against that, but it sucks when the parts cost more than the unit as a whole. And you know exactly why.

I have one more batch of two, and after that their won't be any more for awhile. Sourcing the necessary parts for SNES consoles is a bit tricky, and I am often competing with other parts pickers as well.

Managed to scrounge up enough parts to build another set of 2 SNES consoles. So I will be placing an order for another shell soon, and THEN that will be the end of it.

And in case you're wondering, no, these will not be going up today. I'm waiting on a delivery of screws that I need to put these together, since I use all new self-tapping screws.

Just as I sold the last two SNES consoles yesterday, the next set of shells came in. Guess I am throwing up that last batch of two sooner than I thought!

Finally got this out of my system. I've always wanted a YPbPr modded SNES with RCA jacks, as that was one of the earliest mods I remember seeing when I was a teenager. Now I have it in both SNES and SFC!

They are. They're basically the majority of UN1 serial Super Nintendos, and S1 serial Super Famicoms

It makes more sense from both a cost and a functionality standpoint. When I build my own capkits, I make them universal to all board revisions. Even if I end up with some extras.

All SHVC-CPU-01s. Because if i'm going to be selling SNES or SFCs, it should be the best I can offer. Also they're the most common anyways.

On a more positive note, I am hard at work on prepping the next two SNES consoles for sale!

These will not have the SNEdge installed, and as a result will be $20 cheaper than the last batch.

That requires a whole other set of skills that most people don't have. If I actually knew anything about core development or PCB manufacturing, I would have already started working on it myself. But most of my engineering knowledge is very base level, but i'm always open to learn.
