I was surprised how many people walked through Writers Block but weren't super interested in books. It might have been because it was day one, though. I went in with really low expectations for sales and had fun. I'm really glad I was given the opportunity!

I am SO HAPPY. This book was a struggle and, while it's shorter than book 1, I think it really shows my growth and the growth of my characters.

I ask cuz The Shield Series is a duology and I'm at the end of book 2. Book 1 is ~65k words and book 2 is looking to be closed to 45k. I don't have a relationship to build this time and I don't want to write a bunch of filler.

Why do I write spice-free? Because I want to and it fills a niche.
I don't like spice-free literature being labeled as "clean." Spice isn't dirty or immoral, it's a fact of life. Spicy reads aren't more mature because of their content and spice-free reads don't have any sort of moral claim #booksky

Reading and writing are political. To be silent now (or in support of the current regime here) is to be on the wrong side of history.
