Beauty of a morning today. Nice to feel the sun after months of rain, damp and darkness.
Spring is in the air.

My book The Last Gang in Town details one of #VancouverBC’s most fascinating crime stories of East #Vancouver history ever told.

The photo shows a dense cluster of garter snakes, characterized by their distinctive black bodies with yellow or light-colored stripes running along their length. Here are some details: Snakes: There are numerous garter snakes intertwined and coiled together, creating a dense, almost chaotic mass of snake bodies. The snakes' heads are not easily distinguishable in this tangle, but their stripes are quite prominent. Environment: The snakes are on a surface that appears to be a mix of soil and leaf litter, suggesting a natural outdoor setting, possibly during a mating season or a communal hibernation site known as a snake den or hibernaculum. Lighting: The lighting is natural, likely sunlight, which highlights the texture and colors of the snakes' scales.
If you aren't a fan of snakes, then you may not want to go to the Narcisse Snake Dens 100 km north of Winnipeg.
Each spring, tens of thousands of snakes emerge from their winter dens to start mating.
Let's learn more about the Narcisse Snake Dens!

It might seem creepy, but I loved this when I was a kid. I think the glue may have been toxic though. Lol!

Excellent new Vancouver thrash!
Strange facts:
Toni Iommi invented lower gauge strings, to adapt to his injured fingers according to his book. He eventually got a company to endorse the idea .. Before then strings were heavier 11 gauge average.
Strange fact. This album was produced by Felix Pappilardi of Mountain.
I'd so love a copy of this on vinyl!
