Illustration of a shouting young man.
This house will become a shrine, and punks and skins and rastas will all gather round and hold their hands in sorrow for their fallen leader. And all the grown-ups will say, "But why are the kids crying?" And the kids will say, "Haven't you heard? Rick is dead! The People's Poet is dead!"

I do know what you mean. There are plenty of accounts here where I think, "I respect you/find you entertaining, but you're dead wrong about this particular thing." But that's true of real life as well.

I quite enjoy Bluesky myself, but the dominant hatred/distrust of the BBC here never seems to reckon with what abomination would replace it if it were gone.

Bizarro's first appearance in the newspaper strip (slightly before his first comic appearance, I think?) has him with a B on his chest as well. They might have taken their cue from that.

"The UK has got windmills all over the place that are ruining the country, ruining the beautiful fields. A magician lives in them, and he solves locked room murders with the lady from Men Behaving Badly. He is a disgusting individual. Long curly hair, very unkempt, very very disrespectful."

That's a great book! The only letdown is the superhero stuff, which seems to have been chosen for its historical significance rather than its quality β but there are only a few stories that affects, and the rest of it is solid gold.

Ron Goulart wrote a series of "Groucho Marx, Detective" books which are rather fun.

I like this very much. It's going into the mental box along with "writing in pictures" for whenever I try to articulate whatever the hell it is we do.

The issue that is most astonishing is that a fascist like Nigel Farage is allowed to run a political party in UK elections. I am well aware many people will find this to be shattering news. Some will even find it difficult to believe. But I have checked this out legally and I am right.

Sadly, I fall into both categories. So I have both the baldness and the luxurious hair, but mainly from my ears and nostrils.

Bloody hell. Iβm still running Mojave on my Intel laptop, too many apps I use every day that wonβt work if I upgrade (which I canβt afford to do anyway). Dreading the day the thing finally dies.
