I work in a surgical unit (truly a med/surg unit) and often have to wait until the surgeon says when enteral route is okay for our bowel surgeries. I was hoping we could consider doing the AAT to help speed up enteral meds/feedings.

Thanks, that’s all I can guess - they just wanted more clarity? But I’m also reading between the lines like if there was anything else warranting an updated statement.
Further, the US & Canada 2023 Consensus Statement on the Management of Acetaminophen Poisoning included stopping criteria which was very similar with some differences (added the "clinically well" criterium and didn't mention certain labs).
Can anyone clarify on these criteria?
The American College of Medical Toxicology updated their Practice Statement on Duration of IV Acetylcysteine Therapy following Acetaminophen Overdose.
