A rather lovely corner of St Michael and All Angels, Hallaton. The little octagonal turret in the corner is particularly attractive and unusual but it's obviously the window that should draw your eye today for #TraceryTuesday.

Three simple skulls on the memorial to Penelope Goodenough and her children at St George's, Kelmscott.

And mine π
It was a sunny but freezing cold day when we visited, the lady who unlocked gave us the locals honest views on Gates Garden centre... π¬
I'm sure @portaspeciosa.bsky.social can help with some suggestions!
Purton is by far the more interesting church imo.
St Mary's, Purton (below) which is also in Wiltshire is one and the other is Ormskirk, Lancashire which I haven't visited.
The spire is actually quite small, my photo makes it look bigger than it is.
This angle shows the scale better.
St Andrew's, Wanborough is one of only three English churches to have both a central spire and a western tower. The spire here isn't quite as large as my photo makes it look, more of a junior spire when you see it in person.

It's a bit 'muddy' isn't it, like someone had a go at restoring and recutting it but wasn't very good.
I have seen the font at St Mary's, Meysey Hampton described as early English but very much recut. However I'm definitely more inclined to believe Pevsner who states it was provided by James Brooks who rebuilt and restored much of the church in the 1870s.

I've got William Blake too and William Hogarth, I keep my eye out for them all the time!
The museum crossover boots always sold out incredibly quickly, these were bought new from a popular resale site for not much more than they would have been originally. They are pricey but they do at least last!
I appear to have accidently bought myself a new pair of Docs... Oh dear π
Trailing floral ballflowers around the 14thC north door at St Andrew's, Wanborough.

Nearly, it's St Luke's, Gaddesby
The most thoughtful lectern ever! He's definitely an overthinker
A faint, faded painting of St Margaret of Antioch at St Andrew's, Stoke Dry.
She appears to be standing on the dragon that swallowed her so I think it's showing her post having burst out of its tummy and just before tethering it using her girdle.

Anne Cope rests her head on an incredibly plump embroidered and tasselled cushion at St Andrew's, Stoke Dry.
Somehow she still doesn't look very comfy!

For St David's day here is the saint by Leonard Evetts at St John the Baptist, Alnmouth. The collection of windows in the church by Evetts are all rather lovely and such a contrast to the 19thC glass in the church.

Bracing!
Are you going to finally build an indoor bathroom this year?
A crowned lion and a dragon dancing together whilst having a very animated conversation on the monument to Edmund Tame d1534 and his two wives at St Mary's, Fairford.
I'm assuming they would originally have been enamelled or inlaid, the colour must have been so vivid.
#Caturday,
I can see that now, a great big fat bird!
Could be a chalice... Could be a font.... Could just be a random collection of scratches...
All Saints, Woolstone certainly has plenty of fascinating graffiti, all of it open to many different interpretations.

Definitely tat!
Followed by a long sigh..
A slightly comedic view of a horses derrière at Manchester City Art Gallery.

A saxon grave slab at St Michael and All Angels, Hallaton. It was obviously all about the interlace until it was suddenly decided that rosettes were needed.

I thought that too. There are four faces in total and I've seen them described as two humans and two demons but this definitely looks more animal to me.
