Sorry for the long rant.
When she said to express that care to those who it may be difficult, I felt like that’s what I needed to hear.
I messaged my brother.
Even though I doubt he’ll respond and I don't know if he has that same number, it still felt right to do it.
But when I saw that, I just felt so overcome with emotion. I needed to take a step back and think about a lot.
And I really like that she mentions showing love and gratitude to everyone, because I feel like that’s what I've been doing since all of this began.
When I first saw Melissa’s story, I couldn't quite put how I felt into words. My brother is an addict, and this is the first holiday we spent apart. And it’s difficult because I don't know where he is or if he’s even okay.
It’s been really difficult to enjoy anything let alone the holidays.
