Been in bed since Tuesday with Flu A. Over the past few days I’ve been healing my inner child by watching all the movies I loved growing up. Currently watching Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo and Juliet. Yesterday it was Robin Williams films. Imma sound old, but they don’t make em like this anymore.

I’m not saying we should be murdering these people, but I’m also not sad about it. Insurance companies do absolutely nothing to make the world a better place. They are part of the problem.
The insurance industry is only out to make money. They don’t give a crap about you or their employees. I saw so many of you that still work for them talking about that CEO like he was a saint.
His answer was “if you can’t afford to drive a Cadillac then you didn’t deserve to drive one”. I told him that access to healthcare should be a right, and that he couldn’t compare insurance to cars. He literally sneered at me.
They were pretty affordable at the time, however, people were having to fork over thousands of dollars out of pocket. I remember asking him how he thought this would impact people who couldn’t afford the high out of pocket costs.
I used to work for UHC, years ago. I remember when they came up with the high deductible health plans and the head of sales tried to hype us up about how great it was because the premiums on the plans would be “so affordable”.
