Especially after they signed Roki, Andrew Friedman said in a podcast that Shohei helped sign Roki. Shohei also told Andrew that now that they had him, to please make sure they take care of him.

It’d reflect poorly on them and the process if they traded him after one season — even for someone like Skubal. Not to mention the overall investment made in the Japanese market. You’d think a former MLB GM (disgraced or otherwise) would take that into account before writing clickbaity articles. 🙄
