Yeah. I feel a bit sorry for him, but this is cringe as f.
He looks like a boy who plays pretend. Especially in this interview compared with McConaughey who's sitting there like: "O-oka-ay, whatever you say, kid".

An illustration of two masculine figures together, one sitting on the other's lap with a hand on the other's chin, their eyes locked together. They wear fancy period clothing like a powdered wig and corset, one specifically dressed in very gender-nonconforming attire. A magenta banner at the top says "We've Always Been Here: A queer historical zine" and a blue banner at the bottom says "launches in 24 hours!"
Just 24 hours until we launch on Kickstarter!!
Remember: If you want early bird discounts, they will only be available for the first day (and while slots are still available).

The world is extra tough on trans people right now soβ¦
Why not support a trans-led project with a bunch of gorgeous trans art? π©·
And also prove to the regime that weβve always been here and arenβt going anywhere!!

"Censorship is good, that way I won't have to see people making the icky stuff I don't like. Only my kinks are morally okay and sanitized."
It's because of people like you that we are where we are. You forget they are also coming for you, you're just too self centered and stupid to see it.

Also a reminder that the Epstein ring literally promoted pro-censorship and puritan laws and social policies (which is exactly what these harassers are doing!) because censorship actively protects traffickers. Especially queer censorship. Especially artistic censorship.

Every person who goes on a witchhunt to take down a queer artist because they draw taboo subjects is actively participating in fascism and actively sustaining systems of sex trafficking. Censorship has never once helped us survivors or victims. Censorship helps traffickers and abusers.

Hey yall this is your chance to show the trans community you really are an ally and you're not just saying it for brownie points!!
-Do not support ANY of this
-JK Rowling has said on numerous occasions that her income goes DIRECTLY into anti-trans legislation in the UK
-Seriously. NONE. Of it.

Predictably there are a small number of people already going "whuuuh I'm not fascist just bc I hate some taboo art!" Exactly what I said, read it again. Are you reporting artists? Are you making callout posts? Hating a type of art does not make you fascist, but suppressing its right to exist does

If you're doing callout posts about artists creating fictional taboo content, you may not consider yourself a fascist, but you are one. You are their stupid tool at the bare minimum. The good news is you can stop doing that at any time

Middle aged japanese man (Irobe) sitting at the table with half empty glass. He looks at the photo of a younger japanese man (Nahagide) with sad expression. Behind him is a magnified version of a photo Irobe is looking at. It's an old black an white, creased photograph of Nagahide, half-turned, looking over his shoulder and smiling at the person taking his picture.
Irobe is a man in his 60s with sort shaggy hair. He wears oval glasses. He has dark jacket and light shirt on. Nagahide is a man in his late 30-s with shoulder length hair. He has light jacket on.
An old man, filled with regret.

I guess people are just really tired of desaturated yellow-beige CGI movies so they are happy to see this much color on screen.
Let's hope somebody will make a good movie that is actually "stunning" with beautiful colors and not a piece of garbage.

A single panel cartoon. Moominpapa leans over a newspaper on a table, holding an empty glass. Snufkin is seated on the opposite side of the table, head in hands, puffing on his pipe disconsolately.
Moomonpapa says to Snufkin: 'Tell us all that'a happening out in the world!'
Snufkin replies: 'Fuss and misery..'

I kinda hate whole discourse around this film. 'Cause it involves usual shallow tiktok criticism suspects: "ew abuse romanization", "ew horny", "ew problematic book that should never existed". Like yeah it's another bad stupid movie, but I find those people more annoying. π

It's important to share this image widely as it dispels the myth that being trans is something new and trendy.

Two part picture. Part of black and white official illustration for BL "Mirage of Blaze" (Honoo no Mirage)
Right pic Irobe Katsunaga a man in his 40s with sort black shaggy hair. He wears round glasses. He has a gray suit with a black tie and a white shirt on. He looks at the reader with a serious expression on his face.
Left picture Yasuda Nagahide a slightly younger man with shoulder length light hair. He has light jacket on with a dark shirt underneath. He holds a photo camera in his left arm. He looks at the reader with a cheeky smile.
Illustrations has explanatory Japanese text with character's names and professions. Nagahide is a photographer and Irobe is a cardiac surgeon.
Since probably only two and a half men know about MoB on this site, here's how these characters look.
Left - Yasuda Nagahide aka Miyaji Ryou, right - Irobe Katsunaga aka Sasaki Yukio.
Double names 'cause Mirage is a story about characters who are reborn in different bodies throughout history.

Once in your life you love
Once in your life you try
The one you're holdin'
Is the one that tears you, apart
....
It's not the love, it's just the rain
Two broken hearts
But not in vain
It's not the love, it's just the rain

The Frankenstein Discourse Is Bad. Letβs Talk About It
YouTube video by Kaz Rowe
Guillermo Del Toro's Frankenstein film has been divisive. Would it help the discourse if we knew a bit more about Mary Shelley and the original book? Maybe! Come learn with me about toxic husbands, the horror of motherhood, and the queerness hidden in Frankenstein. Link below!

On the one hand, we have a company that will destroy the theatrical experience buying WB & on the other hand, we have a company run by people willing to placate a fascist president, whose firing women, LGBTQ, and BIPOC employees, and is turning art into mainstream slop. Hollywood is doing great.

Exactly. Like movies about japanese Yankees aka juvenile gangs or what we can call "gopnik type" are entertaining, but they're made by japanese authors, not by western people for whom it's just "fun aesthetics".

As someone who had unfortune to be born in one of ex soviet republics I always find romanization of "Slavic charm" disturbing.
Also that fucking show revived "Western BL is true realistic representation and Asian BL is just fetishization made by pervy women".
I'm so tired of this shit.

I feel the same about CSP. It's brushes feel somehow.. clunky an couner-intuitive, I guess. Probably it's just lack of knowledge and understanding. But Procreate feels so much easier and has so many cool brushes that feel very satisfying to use while not requiring that much mental recourses.
