4. Future direction: polarity picking is tough, the determination rate for SNR 1-10 phases is low for all algorithms; We also need better approaches to evaluate the performance; Also, current POSE is not as efficient as AI, so they may be combined in the future, like AI-PAL.

3. Utilizing our POSE picker, we reveal more prominent normal faulting events in the eastern Chuandian block compared to those in the literature dataset, and a spatial variation of faulting type consistent with GNSS-resolved dilatation rate.

2. Even for SoCal, the SCSN may contain ~10% false polarity labels, and many emergent "Unknown" phases are actually identifiable. Instead of relying solely on expert picks as ground truth, we evaluate polarity picking based on focal mechanism inversion as well.

1. Similar to phase picking, pre-trained AI models for P polarity determination suffer from degraded performance when applied to unseen datasets, but fewer regions have manual polarity labels for transfer learning, unlike P/S arrivals. This motivated our POSE algorithm.

3. Thus, a similar stress field can generate diverse faulting styles, which are possibly related to the geometrical complexity of fault zones. Such small-scale source complexity can be systematically resolved through the discrepancy between FMFM & CMT
