Now that you're back from AWP or recovered from your AWP fomo, remember that we're open for submissions until the 15th! We would particularly love to see more visual art and non-fiction/essay work!

But if you want to subvert form, you *do* need to know, like, if you want to subvert the *police,* you have to know the underlying mechanics of their communication in order to change it.

Douglas Kearney remade my brain in Baltimore with a single metaphor. He said, If you want to break form, you don’t need to know shit. You can take a monkey wrench to a cop car and break it, knowing nothing about it.

A fellow passenger just told the gate attendant, “If that happens, I’ll have to turn into OJ Simpson.”

Pretty sure they were talking about sprinting through the airport like in the Hertz commercial from the ‘70s but also pretty sure that “turn into OJ Simpson” means something else now.
