Long due: "Resilience Beyond Diagnosis" out as preprint!
Higher resilience to depressionโdefined as better-than-expected mental health given cumulative riskโshowed no concurrent brain differences, but prospectively predicted lower GMV in orbitofrontal cortex & temporal pole.

Last week, 130 researchers of the #SFBTRR393 & invited guests gathered at Kulturrathaus Dresden for an inspiring retreat. 4 days of sharing recent results, discussing new directions, and strengthening collaborations across sites. More & more difficult to get everyone into one photo, but we managed!
๐งต New study alert!
How does ๐ก๏ธ room temperature relate to how our body reacts to ๐ฐ psychosocial stress?
We looked at everyday indoor temperature variation (17โ28 ยฐC) and measured stress markers in the body.
๐ง Out now @natcomms.nature.com !
Brain changes linked to childhood maltreatment are among the field's most published findings. Yet, we find extensive replication failure of gray matter correlates in three large cohorts (N=3225), consistent across subsamples, models and operationalizations๐งต
We are looking for a Postdoc who loves fMRI, psychophysiology and data analysis ๐. We run studies on social cognition and related processes with a focus on schizophrenia. German skills could be beneficial, bc the position involves teaching, but not mandatory.

It's always fun to discuss resilience research, and I am happy and grateful to have received a poster award from the @biodgps-dgpa.bsky.social at #PuG2025 for my (and many collaborators!!!) work on the neural correlates of resilience.
always so much fun to discuss resilience, and happy to be awarded for what really is a team project!
Happy to share my current research on neural correlates of resilience at the #PuG2025 later today - come find me at Poster 148!
