Things that get emergency managers excited: seeing property managers plan for known hazards in the area. The groundwater levels are high in this area of town and theyβre prone to flooding during heavy rainfalls. So they added this little closet on the main floor.

Yesterday, there were several severe weather/tornado alerts in north central Alberta. My friend was camping with her family and ignored the alerts. Hereβs the follow up β¬οΈ As a friend, happy theyβre safe. As an Emergency Manager, damn girl, listen to the GD alerts!!!!!!!
My fave part about my job is when I get to engage with the community and talk to people about preparedness. Always great eye opening moments and learning on both sides.
