US CDC orders pullback of new scientific papers involving its researchers, source says The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is seeking to withdraw all papers involving its researchers that are being considered for publication by external scientific journals to allow for a review by the Trump administration, a federal official told Reuters.

Mandatory government review of articles with CDC coauthors is outrageous. I'm guessing this is the first of all federal orgs? Scientific publishing isn't perfect but this destroys the very fabric of scientific integrity.

Not sure right now what action can be taken. Thoughts?
