"Think of the Children!" is the rallying cry of evil people trying to get well-meaning dupes to support legislation by hitting them in one of the blind spots that short-circuits their rational suspicions and gets them to support things the normally would never support.
This is one of those threads where you sometimes need to click on the replies to see all the replies beneath them. It is worth your time to do so. Every expert that I trust in the medical field has told me the same things - perhaps using different words.

You're totally, 100% on point. My dad (now retired) was an allergist/immunologist. He had nothing kind to say about anti-vaxxers. This isn't my professional field (I'm in computer science) but every expert I've talked to or read that I trust personally says pretty much the same things you do here.
