Looks like it's fly tipping season again!
First warm day of the year and all the adorable little enbies are starting to come out around Burley.
There's a broader trend there that goes well beyond the NYT or even the media.
We've been letter writing to various entities since forever and a high proportion of the time, they vanish into the ether.
And then people wonder why we're all so 'silent'.
The Gov’s digital ID scheme is part of a broader pattern of weakening our rights and protections online.
The consultation is our chance have our say and demand a system which respects our rights, makes it easier to access services, and keeps our data safe.
Assuming we believe a word that they're saying.
Even if it isn't going to contain any info that's going to be made problematic for transgender people, it doesn't mean that the govt shouldn't still take it and stick it where the sun don't shine.
I generally assume that political parties know what their constituencies think better than the rest of us do: they spend so much money on polling and focus groups.
But I would be *amazed* if they understood how viscerally they are loathed by young progressives for pushing trans people under a bus.

That some people are and that trans kids can even, notionally at least, stay on them if already prescribed, tells you all you need to know.

They are so transphobic that they believe it is better to impose conversion therapy on trans kids to “save” them from being trans.

If you have been blessed with a trans child;
1. Keep them away from the NHS
2. Try and move abroad if you can
3. Be prepared to fight transphobic staff at school
4. Find other sources of hormones/medication. If you can, get a car loan to pay for them.
5. Protect them from all governmental agencies.

IIRC this argument was actually brought up while the GeRBil was going through parliament and used as a reason to not pass the Gender Recognition Act 2004.

Some stations eg Wakefield Kirkgate are in areas that are rotten for low grade antisocial behaviour.
Hate even going through that area, or having to wait at the station.
