This storm has brought an obscenely loud frog to my back door, and I wish, very much, that it would STFU already.

The neighbors probably think I'm nuts, because all they heard for the last 15 minutes was me pleading with my dog in a cartoon voice: "Let me see you beans! Gimme your beans!" as I tried to clip her nails. 🤣
The stingray is rivaling the phone for her favorite toy.
Emily watched "Agatha All Along" with us the other night and now keeps singing the "Ballad of the Witches Road."

On the way to dinner tonight, Emily asked me how old I am. I said 45. She's like, so you're almost 50? I said, in 5 more years.
Without skipping a beat, she says, "I hope you make it!"

I inspected Jax's urn because I didn't realize Em had picked out a scatter urn. And when I slid the lid back on, there must have been a bit of ash at the top. Because a plume of white smoke went up, and I sucked in like "ohhh," and I inhaled part of my dog. 💀😂
Four more sleeps until we get our girl ❤️
Had to pick up all of Jax's things to make room for Penny's stuff and started ugly crying all over again
I'm excited for our new dog, but I miss my boy so much.
I swore up and down I'd never get another Corgi, but we pick up our new girl next weekend. My heart just needs somewhere to put an this love and grief. My home is too empty.
Why am I looking at corgi puppies online? I found one that's so damn adorable, but my heart is still broken. I miss my dog.

It helped a little. But I still had to come home to an empty house.
I miss him so much.
Never one to be left behind, my sweet Jax followed Cooper over the rainbow bridge this afternoon. His decline was extremely rapid. Liver failure took him in less than 24 hours. He was a shithead, but the best boy. I'm devastated.
The evening has taken a turn. I'm at the emergency vet with Jax. He's got a rock hard abdomen and is in a lot of pain.
I'm not ready for this.
