Had to dispatch a Red Belly Black snake earlier this afternoon. The bastard was trying to go after our new batch of budgerigars, but after like an hour of figuring out his hiding spot, tango down.

I sometimes wish I had a magic wand that I could wave and it would solve my mum’s depression. Pains me to see her that way. But alas, that’s not the case.

A friend asked me how my game development was going. I literally shot back one word, β€œSlowly”.

It’s not that I don’t want to do it. I don’t have the time to devote to it unless I get rare breaks from IRL duties, since Mum suffers depression with very low motivation to do things.

Whoever owned this 486 before me failed RAM Tetris(tm)… how can you fuck up installation of these Fast Page RAM modules?

Time to give them a scrub and see if they’re all happy campers.

Honestly, I just use Amazon ones, brand doesn’t really matter as per se… I have some cheap 4K UHD HDMI cables and they run 2K 180Hz without issue. Just get gold plated ones for best results.

Australian summers: Too fucking hot.

There are HDMI Wireless Sender/Receiver setups that you could look at, they’re designed for that sort of thing. Plug one in the sender device, plug the other into the receiver, done.

8GB is like really cutting it thin. You’d probably want to look at upgrading it to 16GB for better performance.

How intensive is the game? Remember that video encoding, streaming and also rendering the 3D output all at the same time is heavy load for laptop hardware

27.01.2026 02:14 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Probably a poor connection between the computer and the TV; if you’re using WiFi then that isn’t recommended for streaming. Try changing the resolution too.

It allows you to play games on your mobile device, streaming the content through the network. The game is rendered and processed on the host device (desktop, laptop, etc) and then piped to your mobile device. Input and stuff is also sent back to the host.

Still here. Been busy with work and trying to do game development related stuff.

Yeah, that’s pretty much what I did. Popped pocket contents into tray 1 along with my CPAP machine, tray 2 was my luggage, tray 3 was my backpack. Doorbell dot wav and saw a β€œNothing sus” big banner on the screeners’ screen.

Brisbane one actually flagged something as false positive in my bag.

Also, Melbourne security is easy as.

Wish Brisbane had the same easy security, just dump stuff on trays, go through scanner, collect stuff… no need to unpack everything (laptop, cables, etc…)

Yes I know pack everything but the kitchen sink… it’s a habit of mine. πŸ˜…

Gonna be honest, taking some trips away from home (ie. PAX AUS) were both stressful AF and great. Coming down to Melbourne was really stressful due to missing the first flight (double fuck up on my end).

With that said, met up with streamer friends and had a blast so that cancelled out the stress.

Yeah, good thing it wasn’t. Gmail is horror story when it comes to trying to recover (had one moons ago get lost to hackers).

Let’s hope Discord gets you back on your feet quickly

I honestly wonder why the hacker would do that, like what purpose does that serve?

Just chiming in to say a friend gave the mod team and I the heads up and the mod team is on high alert.

Good luck with the account recovery; here’s hoping things get resolved quickly

Windows 11's market share plummets as Windows 10 surges Microsoft is unlikely to be thrilled as Windows 10 once again gains market share while Windows 11 plummets.

From the "Didn't See That Coming" Newsdesk:
After being reported that 30% of Windows 11 was written by "AI", adoption plummets and Windows 10 once again has the greater market share.

Always a good sign when you come home and find the side door not properly closed and the back door open… because parents seem to have forgotten to check it all before heading out. 😬

Turned a telegram bot against its owner because I found the tokens hidden in a phishing website fishing for Telstra login details. After having some fun, the bot got blocked by the scammer.

Sorry for ruining your phishing scam, mate but time for you to go touch some grass. πŸ™‚

Fun little trivia: Back when I was younger, I had an idea of a private, spam free email service similar to Gmail/Hotmail at the time but without the privacy scares.

I had plans to put that very service into motion but they didn’t bear fruit. Sometimes I wish it did, with client ISP email crap.

Windows 10 End of Support: Oct 2025 Microsoft can't and will not stop shilling the crap out of Windows 11. Is Windows 10 end of support really that bad? Let's find out.

Wrote about the whole #windows 10 End of Support thing happening in October 2025. If you convert your existing install to a LTSC version of Windows, or use TSForge, you can extend support until 2029/2032 - something other websites fail to explain.

First game to test on the Orion O6 with the ARM Immortalis GPU boots up and has acceptable performance!

However, in WINE's X11 mode, the game is unstable. In Wayland mode, the game performs better until eventually it hangs on the menu when non-focused. I suspect probably some queue dead/spin lock.

Butter chicken and mixed veggies.

Butter chicken and mixed veggies.

Dinner, butter chicken with some mixed veggies added in. I served it with some rice and it was delicious.
