I sometimes wish I had a magic wand that I could wave and it would solve my mum’s depression. Pains me to see her that way. But alas, that’s not the case.
A friend asked me how my game development was going. I literally shot back one word, “Slowly”.

Honestly, I just use Amazon ones, brand doesn’t really matter as per se… I have some cheap 4K UHD HDMI cables and they run 2K 180Hz without issue. Just get gold plated ones for best results.

There are HDMI Wireless Sender/Receiver setups that you could look at, they’re designed for that sort of thing. Plug one in the sender device, plug the other into the receiver, done.
8GB is like really cutting it thin. You’d probably want to look at upgrading it to 16GB for better performance.
How intensive is the game? Remember that video encoding, streaming and also rendering the 3D output all at the same time is heavy load for laptop hardware
Probably a poor connection between the computer and the TV; if you’re using WiFi then that isn’t recommended for streaming. Try changing the resolution too.
It allows you to play games on your mobile device, streaming the content through the network. The game is rendered and processed on the host device (desktop, laptop, etc) and then piped to your mobile device. Input and stuff is also sent back to the host.

Yeah, that’s pretty much what I did. Popped pocket contents into tray 1 along with my CPAP machine, tray 2 was my luggage, tray 3 was my backpack. Doorbell dot wav and saw a “Nothing sus” big banner on the screeners’ screen.

Also, Melbourne security is easy as.
Wish Brisbane had the same easy security, just dump stuff on trays, go through scanner, collect stuff… no need to unpack everything (laptop, cables, etc…)

Gonna be honest, taking some trips away from home (ie. PAX AUS) were both stressful AF and great. Coming down to Melbourne was really stressful due to missing the first flight (double fuck up on my end).
With that said, met up with streamer friends and had a blast so that cancelled out the stress.

Yeah, good thing it wasn’t. Gmail is horror story when it comes to trying to recover (had one moons ago get lost to hackers).

Turned a telegram bot against its owner because I found the tokens hidden in a phishing website fishing for Telstra login details. After having some fun, the bot got blocked by the scammer.

Fun little trivia: Back when I was younger, I had an idea of a private, spam free email service similar to Gmail/Hotmail at the time but without the privacy scares.
I had plans to put that very service into motion but they didn’t bear fruit. Sometimes I wish it did, with client ISP email crap.
Wrote about the whole #windows 10 End of Support thing happening in October 2025. If you convert your existing install to a LTSC version of Windows, or use TSForge, you can extend support until 2029/2032 - something other websites fail to explain.

Kandagawa Jet Girls, a Windows x86_64 game running under WINE via Hangover on the Radxa Orion O6. It's not running at full 60 FPS, but certainly not a powerpoint slideshow.
First game to test on the Orion O6 with the ARM Immortalis GPU boots up and has acceptable performance!
However, in WINE's X11 mode, the game is unstable. In Wayland mode, the game performs better until eventually it hangs on the menu when non-focused. I suspect probably some queue dead/spin lock.
