I am having SUCH a bad art block this month. Like… NOTHING is activating the feral creative hunger. The day job being slammed right now doesn’t help. 😞

The only hardline is whether someone is *actually* hurting someone else irl. Feeling grossed out/offended is not the same as getting hurt and assuming someone is dangerous from the fiction they consume is cop shit. Thought Crimes are a fascist concept, censorship is a tool of oppression.

Sometimes I wonder if what I'm doing is worth it... then i think about how literally the things keeping me going are Resident Evil, One Piece LA, and Pokopeia. Like damn. Yup. Art is amazing. Making cool stuff for people to find joy in is so powerful.

I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.
