Doesn't beat Sam's Town or Day & Age for me but it's an incredible first single

The race itself was surprisingly up and down, my legs were exhausted and I definitely needed better sleep. Still, even after walking 3/4 miles near the end I got a solid time of 3:49.

Overall the course was packed with gorgeous vistas. @radruler.bsky.social reports that spectating was "fine" but they didn't report road closures on Google maps so navigation was hard.

The desert was gorgeous in the sunrise of course, the roads were fine. Very glad it was at the beginning not the middle.

The first six miles of this one started in the desert on packed dirt so we had to be bussed to the starting line. They had warming fires set up
