In fairness, they mainly say "Sadie, you are an utter waste of space " and I can understand just by the tone, be it avian or eldritch.

Functions adequately. New poetry published by Red Ogre, 'The Usual Apologies ' (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DYVL2PZC ) Short story collection coming with Acid Bath Press later in the year. May contain smut.

Damn, I have lost my Sweartrek badge :(
All my badges. (OH! Except my Dennisbtye Menace and Gnasher Fan Club badges, which are in their wallet with the guide to secret signals.) I particularly like the No Whimsy, and Delete The Banjax ones (Ed Fringe freebies from one comedian who made it and one sketch comedy group that didnβt). 2013 was my first PBH Free Fringe show with Arlen, 2019 my last. Sigh.
I don't collect badges, but just had a rummage and put the ones that somehow have accrued into one place, so that was almost a productive thing my brain managed, hurray.
I was obsessed with this. I had the book by Ben Bova and didn't even kmow it was based on a film. (*Goes onto eBay and Abebooks to find the novel because now I am thinking about it again.*)
"I am unable to respond as my isthmus is unavailable."
Yes, or Lindisfarne if it was uninhabited. Although the pub is pretty great. And the artisanal coffee place. Hm.
Quite fancy access from an isthmus covered by high tide, so there are options for paddling, repelling invaders, but also access to bookshops as necessary.

You're not going to make any money doing this and no one is going to read it, so you must hope for a secret third thing to happen

Today feels like a good day to say that I'm proud of what I've built. And I'm proud to be part of a community of women who are out there doing the same.

Oil painting, 1938 landscape (William E Reid signature).
Oil painting of three young women around a table. I particularly like the one on the right, who is fed up. Signature is tiny and illegible, and I am not going to mess around trying to clean it more than I have. It's shabbily splendid as it is.
Latest treasure from #SamBurns #EastLothian. I've cleaned them up a little, and the frames are on order so these are screenshots, but a massive hit of happy for a fiver each.
I like this beautiful poem from the latest @newyorker.com
It's not much hope, but it is all the hope in the world for kΔkΔpΕs, so that's made me smile x
Sadie Maskery lives in Scotland by the sea. Her short stories can be found in publications including Extra Teeth, Odd Magazine and Starship Sloane. Her most recent poetry collections are 'Overheard Lovesongs' and 'The Usual Apologies', with poems printed in The Scotsman, Poetry Scotland, Red Ogre, and various other awesome places. She can be found on Bluesky as @saccharinequeen.bskyb.social. When not writing she enjoys ambling and doodling. (Thatβs the blurb I sent in full. I like the ambling and doodling bit so I am adding it back in.)
Well now, there's happiness! @acidbathpublishing.bsky.social
