I’m doing a minced paneer curry with a dhal and some of those magic cook from frozen Shana parathas. No booze either.

He is also massively into his food and when peace allows, he likes to tell you about all the delicious Middle Eastern goodies he is scoffing.

I’m using my bumper surprise packs of leeks that Ocado accidentally sent me to make a leek, ham, wine sauce for pasta.
Have already made a vat of leek and potato soup.

I made a Winter minestrone loosely based on an Alistair Little recipe but have included all the bits of veg hanging about in the fridge - hopefully like a Nonna would. Have a few cooked chestnuts leftover that I’ll crumble on top. I do love a dumpling though.

Our local hot meat sandwich shop went viral on Tik Tok causing massive queues. Until everyone realised that £13 for a shit pulled pork sandwich was quite a lot of money.

They were delicious. A warm spice, plus the inclusion of prunes and apricots in the mix gave them a lovely sticky softness but not sweet.

I shall report back - we are late eaters.

We have some "Moroccan lamb*" sausages from our fab butcher which I'll serve with some sort of couscous concoction and a cabbage salad.
* normally they are merguez but these are not as they contain apricots, apparently
