I personally liked the show more than the movies but I think you're already past most of the stuff that I think is particularly worse in the movies

it's up to you ofc but I mainly say this bc one of the reasons some people prefer the g-reco movies is they clean up some parts where things are poorly conveyed. I don't remember if they changed the Raraiya stuff that you didn't like before but that kind of stuff is mainly what the movies altered

it's kinda weird that they changed the subtitle for the new Rhythm Heaven to "Groove" for the english release when in the Japanese version, the subtitle is literally the english words "Miracle Stars". They even kept the shooting star in the logo which doesn't really make sense with the name change

I knew there was a scene in Ideon where Sheryl and Karala slap each other a bunch of times but I could not possibly have predicted the context in which it happens lol

While I don't think you should dismiss a piece of media just because someone else told you it's bad and I liked ZZ just fine, I don't particularly care if someone skips ZZ

you also don't have to watch all of the prior gundam shows before Turn A

idk how hot of a take this is but I think becoming a gundam fan and watching almost all of the main gundam works has fully radicalized me against the mindset that you must experience all of the works in a large franchise.

My impression was that A Contact is a compilation film of the show while Be Invoked is an alternate/expanded version of the ending so I was only going to watch the latter. Is that not the case?
