honking and hollering at every knockout gorgeous dame I see on the street to let them know that Namco's 1995 arcade classic "Rave Racer" is receiving its first-ever home console release THIS WEEK via Hamster's Arcade Archives
absolutely, i love the series' commitment to putting in various non vgm musicians since 2. the links to LBT and Toy Label make me so so happy. Doramaru in TSA, Hondalady and Missile Chewbacca in 2, Professional Hamburger in 3 (only realised this last one yesterday and got so shocked)
i definitely need to relisten, i skimmed a few last night and thought they were better than i remembered. maybe there was some level of cynicism on my part from not liking the gameplay much, or i was just comparing it to 1 and 2 while listening (which is. a crazily high bar so probably unreasonable)
its fully working but everywhere where it would recommend me videos is just empty
oh actual confirmation that this isnt just a me thing wtf
www.youtube.com/watch?v=p7oV... this is one of my fav songs (and moments) of the series i remember absolutely freaking out when it played
really sad i wasnt too into this soundtrack as a whole because it had some absolutely AMAZING high points but never really stayed as consistent as the other soundtracks imo.
maybe deserves a proper listen on my part though, i listened to most of the soundtrack through the game
Travis's breathing technique didn't work
minimal techno is actually an evil genre because minimalism is awesome and techno is awesome but instead of something like them i most often find it means "really boring dance music"
my moments of luck are when the jungle events happen because usually once it gets really late they pull out the breakbeat hardcore
if i see one more progressive house or minimal techno event in this goddamn city i'm becoming a dj myself just to play a single different dance music genre PLEASE
meme of the son asking "dad why's my sister's name rose?" "because your mother loves roses" "thanks dad!" "no problem shamisen solo at about 3:20 in Game Music Festival 1990 ZUNTATA Live! The Ninja Warriors "Daddy Mulk"
i prefer most tracks in dracula x chronicles except maybe slash and divine bloodlines (the latter is an awesome arrangement but lacks the funky bass and that's kinda unforgivable for divine bloodlines), dxc ghost ship painting is one of my fav songs of the series

having an actual freak out moment realising one of my favourite soundtracks references one of my favourite songs so heavily. this SUCH a pastiche of Water From A Vine Leaf and i somehow never realised and im falling in love with it so so so much
sometimes you find a vgmusic midi that has horribly mistranscribed the most basic melodic parts of the song but has perfectly done this amazingly complex arpeggio and i think in a way thats beautiful
I LOVE SHMUP MUSIC I LOVE SHMUP MUSIC we all shout in unison
morpheus, holding out a red and blue pill: I got us some drugs. Neo: that's interesting because I take drugs. morpheus: and me. that's why I got two.

this kinda shit is fun, its like when they got juno reactor on for a song in the matrix but it was a collab with the score composer. doesnt happen enough and didnt even happen enough in the matrix (the score is way too orchestral for a movie that "cyberspace"-y)

love the feeling of finding a cool new thing on bandcamp and then seeing that someone you know is one of the only two people who has ever bought it
rpgs are for people who are scared by the amount of story in visual novels but are also scared by the amount of gameplay in all other genres
From the Wikipedia page for Thomas Fantet de Lagny ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Fantet_de_Lagny ) : De Lagny died on 11 April 1734. While he was dying, someone asked him: "What is the square of 12?" and he answered immediately: "144."
imagine dying to death and being asked to solve math puzzles for your last words. for one man, this was no mere hypothetical
