we only had a baby once we felt secure and comfortable. having this job is what made us feel like we were ready for a baby. a secure job with insurance and good pay and maternity leave. just for them to throw me away once the baby is here.
i don’t really have words. you’re just a body to your job. they do
not care about you. they started my termination call by asking me about my baby and welcoming me back. by the end i was left with no job and having to worry about making enough to help support my family.
first day back at work after maternity leave
> tire pops 2 miles from work, have to wait 45 minutes for my husband to rescue me
> worked all day on getting my codes unlocked so i could actually work
> works my entire shift to be laid off at the end
my husband is an amazing, capable, present dad and yet it feels like part of me will always be angry that he got the joyful experience without any of the pain or hormones or weight gain or permanent bodily trauma. he gets a baby. i get the weight of what bringing that baby into the world did to me.
when will i stop feeling resentment bc i had to gain 75 pounds and get cut open and almost died to bring life into this world and will never ever be the same while my husband just. got to be a dad.

i used to do photography hardcore for years, and eventually i was just soo depressed and stopped doing it completely. now im so back, baby
i started a page for my photography stuff bc i wanna make money so i can stay home with the baby once my maternity leave ends, and ive already gotten several people booked for sessions in my first month of starting <3

he’s relaxing
his vaccines are scheduled for next week but he can’t get the MMR vaccine until he’s older and i’m forever going to be a mess about the thought of something happening to him
there’s now an outbreak of measles in our state and i’ve already been isolating at home for 3 months because im scared of my baby getting sick so now i think im never leaving the house again
