I’m not sure a best picture list has ever been so close to my personal tastes before. I don’t LOVE all 10 but I enjoyed them all. Here’s my rank based purely on what I think I’d rather watch right now. Not a prediction or what I necessarily think is “better” artistically.

Série Noire; a 1979 French crime film based on a Jim Thompson novel. Not a fun movie but a very effective and bleak character study with a live wire lead performance from Patrick Dewaere.
