There are a couple mushroom and fern stickers as well as a few orange ish yellow ginkgo leaves drawn on the pages. a very dark purple brown maple leaf is pasted on the upper right corner. Some text is typed out and cut and pasted on the pages. The text says, "Brumation: a state of sluggishness, inactivity, or torpor exhibited by reptiles (such as snakes or lizards) during winter or extended periods of low temperature. Brumation is a natural process that allows healthy reptiles handle stressful environmental conditions such as cold temperatures, drought, and/or extended periods of extreme heat."

The text scattered on the page says, "perennial plants have periods of dormancy. Some mammals hibernate through winter. Reptiles brumate when it gets cold."

Long before the term existed, Indigenous communities have practiced mutual support and resource redistribution to help the community thrive. One example of this is the ceremony of Potlatch. Potlatch involves dancing, theater, storytelling, and giving receiving food & other gifts. Canada made this ceremony illegal from 1885 to 1951, resulting in arrests and imprisonment."

The Free African Society was created by ministers Richard Allen and Absalom Jones in Philadelphia in the year 1787. It was a nondenominational religious society dedicated to helping newly free members of the Black community. Members contributed one shilling per month, and the society provided financial, educational, social, and medical support for its members. They buried the dead, gave financial support to widows and family members, found apprenticeships & paid tuition for kids, and helped the sick during the yellow fever epidemic of 1793."
Mutual aid is Indigenous. Mutual aid is Black.
