I wonder what the reaction in Wyoming would be today if, say, Rev. Reeb were shot and killed by DHS agents outside an ICE prison.

The size of Xi's bribe still being hammered out.

This time it won't be a few paltry export licenses and preferenial treatment for family members' jewlery and accessories lines.

He and Xi now both old men in a hurry.

The Holy Twins - story of St. Scholastica and St Benedict, illustrations by Tomi De Paola.

A miraculous snowstorm is part of St. S's legend, so she's the patron saint of snow days. (Thus the snowflakes in the air in the background.)

Alright, you two. Knock it off.
I'm not angling for snow days any more.

Firewood Banks Aren’t Inspiring. They’re a Sign of Collapse. Rural communities are banding together to chop firewood so that people in need can heat their homes. This shouldn’t be necessary.

I've passed a couple of these transpoirting birds; one is in the middle of Lewiston.

I spent my life getting really really good at arcane things from way back that turn out not to matter much anymore - whether it was Latin or Greek or Morse code.

So it's easy for me to imagine what it's like to be a constitutional lawyer.

There'd have been some odd coalitions in the struggle to do so. Vestigial Federalists and Lowland/Tidewater southerners would both have fought it.

I could run an APUSH class for a week on this one without breaking a sweat.

I was always amazed at how many distinct ethnic neighborhoods there were - this'd be late 70's - in such a small area. Great storefront restaurants for poor college students.

Worcester has a special place in my heart.

They pack a lot of 'urban' into a very modest sized city. In all kinds of ways.

The old inflatable Orson the Bear from the factory roof used to get 'invited' to Holy Cross parties. The present rigid plastic, entirely too buff bear up there now was designed to be harder to borrow.
