No plans to leave rn as long as Gov Stein and his admin can keep the MAGA legislature in check. We have gay and trans kids, and extended family in majority blue states, so if things go bad we’re gone.
We’re very aware that’s a privilege not everyone has, but we won’t risk the kids.
And to be clear: this issue is overt in about half the population, but is latently present among progressives/leftists/Democrats. The reflexive distrust on the left of a white woman in 2016 and a black woman in 2024, when men with identical policies won in 2008 and 2020, needs to be confronted.

We won’t be able to elect a woman President until we (progressives, the left, Dems) confront this endemic misogyny. Granted, Harris’ campaign was too hesitant to confront or take stands, and I hope national Dems take that lesson, but WE all have to take responsibility as well.
Based on personal (anecdotal) evidence: latent misogyny (and racism) were the biggest drivers. Those who said they wouldn’t vote were (IME) young whites fixated on a single issue but unable to articulate how not voting helped resolve the issue. When pressed they simply “couldn’t vote for (her)”
In actual response to the article: YES. It’s past time for Dems in Congress to become loud, unapologetic obstructionists. Take a lesson from McConnell: he will not pass a single piece of legislation; we will not compromise. Heck, have the most leftist form an “extremist” caucus to “blame” 😉
The only things holding me together rn now are
1) my immediate family is more impacted than me so I can’t just lose it, and
2) in NC, even tho a majority voted for Trump (or didn’t vote! 😡 ) we also elected a 100% Dem Council of State and broke the MAGA supermajority in the Legislature 🙏 🤞
