They won't start with banning birth control. First they'll lie about it. Then dictate who can prescribe it, use it, fund it, in what forms, and for how long. Suddenly, your doctor won't call you back. I know this is what they'll do because it's what they're doing to transgender healthcare right now.
They found him. He died.
Another murder by our immigration goon squads
Today is the birthday of my beloved friend John Lewis.
He was the most respected member of Congress for his lifetime commitment to nonviolence and public change. It was the honor of a lifetime to serve with him. He taught me to get into βgood trouble.β I think of him often.
Awe! Thanks for checking on me. Was really sick - got Covid (first time!) and that nasty flu so was in the hospital for Christmas. Has taken a while to really get over all of it!
Good Q @SarahKSilvermam
Pam Bondi is covering up the most heinous of all crimes-the rape & trafficking of young girls.
She is complicit not only in the biggest corrupt, coverup in American history, but by participating in protecting these rapists & pedos, she has become one.
Bondi belongs in prison.

Duane Kearns Puryear, holding his panel for the AIDS Memorial Quilt. It reads, in block letters: "My name is Duane Kearns Puryear. I was born on December 20, 1964. I was diagnosed with AIDS on September 7, 1987 at 4:45 PM. I was 22 old. Sometimes, it makes me very sad. I made this panel myself. If you are reading it, I am dead..." There are several great resources to learn about Duane, his advocacy, his family, his panel, and the politics of memory and re-creation, especially this one by The Dallas Way: http://www.thedallasway.org/stories/written/2021/9/19/duane-puryears-and-the-quilt-panel Duane Puryear died in 1991.
It's your birthday, Duane.

My grand-cat Scar in her Grinch PJs.
My daughter in law's uncle is locked up at Alligator Alcatraz. He is from Cuba but is a legal resident and has been here since the late 70s/early 80s. My heart breaks for all of the people who have been locked up, assaulted and treated so badly.
Used? All of them. Still have? 14 of them. sigh.
This fucking creep.

Rand Paul tells me that he wants the full video of the Venezuelan boat strike released.
βAnd I think if the public sees images of people clinging to boat debris and being blown up, I think that there is a chance that finally, the public will get interested enough in this to stop this.β
A serving officer being set up to take the fall for a civilian. Yes, no danger there.
Best idea EVER
If the Venezuelan sailors were enemy combatants, then the 2nd strike is a war crime.
If the Venezuelan sailors werenβt enemy combatants, then both strikes are criminal murder.
Itβs that simple.

Things are getting delightfully weird
To everyone saying that people in our military already know not to follow unlawful orders, how do you explain almost 100 civilians murdered on fishing boats in the Caribbean so far?
What the hell: The US accidentally invaded Mexico on Monday, storming a beach and planting DoD βrestricted areaβ signs claiming the land for βthe commander,β and triggered a standoff with armed Mexican security forces, all because Trumpβs government canβt even identify a border on a map. 𧡠1/
May this picture spread as far and wide as Trump's Covid.
I bought my son a Furby when they first came out. We opened it up and he said "it's kind of creepy mom" - it opened it's eyes and said "don't be scared". It went straight outside to the trash can.
