If you aren't already familiar with the Tom Hanks movie 'A man called Otto', you should check it out - or the original book, 'A man called Ove'. Kinda reminds me of this story.

It will take over your life completely... And it's absolutely worth it. Who needs Vitamin D anyways?

Damn I've personally not seen that problem so I've never even thought about it, but I can absolutely see that being complete rubbish

But all talks include Q+A? An E.Career focused Q+A is nice, but is not suitable for events not about that, the scope is too broad.
I've never seen an event where poster discussion isn't encouraged.
I'm at an E.Career stage myself, so it's not like I lack sympathy for junior researchers. I am one!

3) Give me networking in exchange for my hard work I put in organising
4) Elevate the name of the event for more renown.
Surely the onus should be on prevalent speakers to not deliver the same talk over and over? Especially over years?

I'm currently organising the second annual event of a meet I founded, I'm curious for your take on this:
From my perspective big names:
1) Attract attendees and sponsors, whose money we need.
2) Give networking to Early career presenters + attendees

If you're down to spend more - look for 'swiss water' on single origin coffees - it's a process name that is ~solid for maintaining flavour (I could start a whole thread, it's a fascinating subject) Also, Rooibos tea is naturally caffeine free! I'm a fan of the TikTok brand Earl Grey Rooibos.

I was always taught to keep the numbers notating substituent position low as a rule of thumb, so I'd start from the double bond, giving: (R)-4,4-dimethyl-7-ethyl-3-pentylnonene, I think. Although I'm pretty sure all that really matters is internal consistency with the name.

Always interesting to see what fundamentals have not been fully challenged in recent years. I definitely recommend checking out this work from @markelliottcardiff.bsky.social. This one's going to be a hard habit to break!
