PSA for pediatricians - part of the 1 yo well-child check should be counseling on minimizing milk intake. The number of kids I see per week with iron deficiency anemia who are drinking bottles of milk per day is astounding

When a patient living with #SickleCell disease hits the ER with pain, they should get pain meds IMMEDIATELY. A hefty first dose of pain meds can result in better outcomes.
They do not need your narrative, suspicion or discrimination.
