BREAKING: As many as 150 U.S. troops have been wounded in the war with Iran, according to sources familiar—far higher than the Pentagon’s publicly disclosed figure of just 8 seriously wounded troops. The true toll of this war is already far worse than the public has been told. (Reuters)

The Gulf that emerges from the Iran war will be very different Iran’s decision to target the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and other countries in the Gulf will have far-reaching consequences.

This explains why Saudi Arabia wanted Trump to attack Iran—they stand to benefit from a weakened Iran.

Trump is to blame for the United States being involved in this. Netanyahu is to blame for Israel being involved in this. Netanyahu & MBS both persuaded Trump to attack Iran along with Lindsey Graham.

But because Trump can’t say no after he bombed 7 other countries it’s all Israel’s fault? And you choose not to believe MBS, who has given billions of dollars to Trump & his family, wasn’t persuading Trump to do this, despite credible reporting showing otherwise?
Are you MAGA?

10.03.2026 16:49 👍 1 🔁 1 💬 1 📌 0

Because Saudi Arabia had been adversaries of Iran for decades.
When you blame others for actions Trump is taking, you sound like MAGA absolving him of his own responsibility.
Obama, Biden, even George W. Bush had no problem saying no to Netanyahu.

MBS too. He was pushing Trump to attack Iran too.
And Trump’s golf buddy Steve Witcoff, & his son-in-law Jared Kushner, two corrupt real estate investors, were the ones handling the negotiations with Iran that pushed this war too. Don’t leave them out.

Exactly. I knew when I saw the royals sniggering behind their church pamphlets at Harry and Meghan's wedding that the nastiest, sleaziest, undeserved things were going to happen to them.
So idealistic, young, and beautiful.
I hope they and their children lead beautiful lives.

The Con Trump Used to Attempt to Hide How He's Rewarding Russia for Helping Iran Target Americans - emptywheel Americans deserve to know whether Russian targeting assistance helped kill Benjamin Pennington before Trump rewards Vladimir Putin for his own strategic idiocy.

Which I wrote up here.

This is an important story. So is the likely sourcing (to Marc Caputo, VERY well sourced in the WH) and Barak Ravid (who was closely covering Russian negotiations when Ukraine made the offer).

Trump is about to lift sanctions on Russia to get out of strategic morass he caused.

Yet Trump and his flunkies spent the weekend--as Pennington's death was announced--insisting that Russia's targeting couldn't hurt us. Trump had already started rolling back sanctions on RU oil, and is considering further roll-backs.

A March 3 satellite picture (sourced to Planet Labs) of a March 1 missile strike on Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia. The "damaged structure" which is marked, is close to a Radome, also marked.

In first report on Russia helping Iran w/targeting, WaPo focused on strikes in Saudi Arabia. NYT earlier revealed this strike on Prince Sultan Air Base--which they later implied was the strike that would lead to Bejamin Pennington's death.

We need to know if RU played a role in killing Pennington.

‘A shell of our former self’: How Trump and Musk’s spending cuts are hampering US government readiness amid the Iran war | CNN Politics Government cuts under Trump’s second term weakened U.S. emergency, security, and foreign response capabilities, now under scrutiny amid Middle East conflict.

CNN catalogs some of the many things that Trump defunded or fired before he needed them for his illegal war of choice on Iran:

1) Evac experts at State
2) CT at State
3) Cyber sharing at CISA
4) Disaster response at FEMA
5) CI at FBI

The military budget is $217 billion higher than it was a decade ago (after adjusting for inflation).

A significant chunk of that money comes from OBBBA & is still unused and earmarked for things Trump is likely to ask for in the supp. For the rest, there's flexibility to move some funds around.

Look at these charts. TransUnion and Experian, two of the three major credit bureaus, have started dismissing a larger share of consumer complaints without help. The timing coincides with the Trump administration’s dismantling of the CFPB. www.propublica.org/article/cred... @joeljacobs.bsky.social

We're spending $1 billion per day on war as millions of working people struggle to get by.

No. It’s his own fault for doing it. Nobody can talk you into doing anything you don’t want to do. He tried to convince Biden to do this. He tried to convince Obama to do this. He even tried to convince George W. Bush to attack Iran & couldn’t even convince him.
All of them said NO.

Israel didn’t drag us into doing anything that Trump didn’t want to do. Netanyahu has been trying to convince US Presidents to attack Iran for 20 years and Trump was the only one stupid enough to do it. Lindsey Graham even coached Netanyahu on how to convince him.
